Digital Voice Adapter?

I've just moved to Virgin from BT.

On BT I had a digital landline and to avoid having to plug the landline phone directly into the back of the router, I was given, for free, an EE digital voice adapter, model X16-G90, that was paired with the BT router and then could go in any room and the landline phone plugged into that.

But now on Virgin it seems that the landline phone has to be plugged directly into the back of the router which is inconvenient as the router is not in the room where I ideally want the phone.

The EE digital voice adapter only seems to be compatible with BT so my question is, is there an equivalent Digital Voice Adapter available that works with the Virgin Media Hub 5?

We solve this problem with a BT Cordless Phone system, the base connects to the VM Hub TEL 1 socket and the other two handsets can be where is convenient.

Yes that's what I've ended up doing - not ideal but seemingly the only viable solution currently.

  • Hey screek, thank you for reaching out and we are sorry to hear about this landline issue.

The landline does need to be plugged into the back of the router, if you want we can look at moving the router for a charge of £25 if you want?

No thank you.  I really think VM should offer digital voice adapters - the BT-EE solution is much better than having to plug into the back of the router.

    No.
