  • Hey Gary06208, thank you for reaching out and no problem at all.

What you needing some information about, is it what TV shows they offer etc?

It works well, but doesn't have a lot of channels. Among those missing are:

        • BBC channels [the BBC insist you use iPlayer which is at least free on there]
        • Sky channels [Sky History is on there, it is distributed by Hearst, except for Sky News the others are not as far as I am aware on the platform outside of Sky pay apps such as Sky Go and Now]
        • U& Channels [owned by the BBC, but also not available as live channels as far as I am aware on Apple TV outside of Sky owned apps]

The latter two are on the Virgin TV Go PC app and the android app.

Virgin TV Go is for mobile devices, so a full set of content for a device connected to a TV would be ridiculous as it takes business away from VM's subscription TV boxes. What you therefore get is a curated subset of content (which is already limited as licensing for Apple TV is likely more restricted compared with PC and Android).

So why have the app at all on Apple TV? It's about marketing: by providing just enough live channels and on-demand content VM can say "We offer our products across multiple platforms. And if that wets your appetite, we've got a Stream box which gives you everything".
