Virgin Mobile App Registration of device

Hi,

please help! I have two devices, my mobile and my laptop. I am allowed to register up to 5 different devices each month to watch Virgin Media on the go. Every time i want to watch anything, despite having previously registered my devices the app requests that I register the device despite having already done so. Subsequently i am now unable to watch on either device until Feb as I have reached my max number of Registered devices!

  • Hi physiopro

    Welcome to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear that you're having issues with the mobile App. We can see that you've posted on the TVGO thread.

We've been made aware of an issue with TV Go where you're unable to watch on a device that has been registered even though it has been used before on a PC or MacBook. This can cause all slots and changes for the month to be used. You're currently allowed 5 devices with 3 changes per month.
This is caused when the cookies and cache for TV Go are removed/deleted. This is not a fault and is working as expected. To avoid the situation you simply need to change the settings on your browser to keep the cookies active for TV Go.

Thank you. Would you know what settings I need to change and to what. I am a bit of a neanderthal regarding technology. Also the same problem is happening on my mobile phone as well! what can i change on that?

      Thanks for your help

No worries, if you are using Chrome, follow these steps.

On the Chrome menu, select Settings > Show advanced settings, and then under Privacy, select Content settings.

        1. In the Content settings dialog box, under Cookies, make sure Allow local data to be set (recommended) is selected.
        2. Select Done and refresh the browser.

        Are you using another browser?
