TV Go

I use the virgin media go app to get into sky sports. When I want to watch horizontally screen goes vertical & vice versa. I don't have this problem using an android device only when I use my Chromebook, this has only started happening in last few weeks. It works fine on TNT Sports so not a problem with auto rotate. I have uninstalled & reinstalled both virgin Go app & sky sports apps. Help required

  • Hi kendo159,

Thanks for posting and sorry to hear you're having some issues with Sky Sports.

Can you confirm if you've downloaded the Sky Sports app and signed in that way, as opposed to using TVGO?

Have you tried changing the screen orientation on the chromebook?

Press the following keys at the same time: CTRL, SHIFT and REFRESH (the REFRESH key is in the top row, 4th one in from the left and looks like an arrow moving in a circle). Each press of this key combination will rotate the screen 90 degrees.

Officially TVGo  works on android and ios devices.  It isn't supported on Chromebooks and Amazon Fire  devices. The same applies with the Sky Sports app.

Some android apps may be available to  download on some Chromebooks that have Google Play Store installed, and some apk's (apps) that can't be downloaded from the google playstore can be sideloaded instead provided developer mode has been enabled.  These apps may not be fully supported, and can either stop working completely or have their behaviours altered by either app or chromebook updates.
