TNT Sports on VirginGo app copyright restriction

I tried to watch a recent Europa League football match on VirginGo app. I have TNT sports subscription via VM. When I tried to play the match via VirginGo app on my iPhone it would not play, instead I got a message saying the content was copyright restricted and could not be played on my device, I was in the UK at the time so not a country region issue. Anyone know why and if there is a way to fix this? I recently moved from Sky to VM and never had any issues watching TNT via the Sky app on the same device.

  • Hi Arkmay 👋.

Thanks for reaching out to us, sorry to hear of the issues that you have faced with viewing content on the Virgin TVGO app. Whilst we have permission to show many events as well as sporting events via our TV service. There can be some where we have been advised that we are not allowed to stream on our TVGO app but can be viewed directly on the channel via a Virgin TV box. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to change this as we are advised prior what events can and cannot be shown via our TVGO app regarding Copyright Restrictions.

With any sports packages that you are subscribed to with Virgin Media, can be viewed via the Sky Sports app when logging in with your Virgin Media login details once redirected from the Virgin TVGO app.

    Hope this helps.

You are sure this isn't just the Sky Sports channels and it includes non-Sky channels such as TNT Sports?
