I doubt this will happen as it will effectively provide free MultiRoom.

A Virgin engineer told someone they could do this recently and there are notes online talking about Google Home app for iPhone which enables it but I could not see this at all.
Someone claiming it here - but must be BS?

Maybe it works on Android?

... and running the app on a tablet or on compatible TVs doesn't? What is the point of the app if it isn't to be a portable version of a VM set-top-box?
OK, @Ernie_C, I accept that your comment is two years old but, even then, the app was effectively a multi-room and beyond means of watching VM TV on the go (hence the name). It is now available on a variety of devices, including Apple TV I'm told, so why not on Chromecast which is an Android platform after all or allow it to cast to larger screens.
Are we talking about two different things here anyway ...
- Casting the VM TV Go app to a TV
- Running the VM TV Go app natively on a Chromecast with Google TV Android device
