Access denied when trying to log into Sky Sports

I'm trying to log into Sky Sports to watch a live match however I receive the following error message:

Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://oauth.id.sky.com/AK_PM_VPATH0/856922/288_Error.html" on this server.

I'm logging in via the Virgin Media option, in the UK and VPN turned off. The error occurs with Chrome, Firefox and DuckDuckGo all with cache cleared. This has been going on for some time and is the same on my Android phone.

    Welcome back to the Community, and thanks for taking the time to post. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re experiencing with your Sky Sports login.

    Are you able to access other applications with your Virgin Media O2 id such as My Virgin Media, TV GO or the Virgin Media Connect app?

      Hi Steven,

      Thank you for your reply. I've been experiencing this problem for a number of months but I was able to use the other applications however my account has now been locked for some reason.

        Thank you for that information. When you attempt to log in what message are you getting specifically? Is it the same message as in your original post.
