I assume the PC's ethernet port is at least Gigabit and that you're using a suitable cable? 8MBps download doesn't sound far from the real world speed I'd expect from a 100Mb ethernet connection (based on when I was accidentally running my PC's ethernet connection through a 100Mb surge protector).

8MBps is 64Mbps, so not too bad when there will be some restriction by the games server - it's not a speed tester.
For the internal connection, try a new cat6 cable.

We cannot see any current area issues being cited, can you please provide an update on the performance of our services and if the advice offered has been attempted?
