New to Virgin

Just got Virgin installed today, supposedly 500mb download speed…

came home to son moaning about lag etc thought he was just over reacting so ran some tests…

speeds shown was getting 500mb then all of a sudden nothing would load and couldn’t get connection, then hub started flashing red.. 

Rebooted hub now only barely getting 100mb but connection doesn’t seem all that stable. 

Checked the online app for issues and had an ‘intermittent connection issue’ message on there. 
phoned customer support and was told to monitor it for 7 days as because it’s new it might take time to work properly… does this sound right?

    Mine started like that , then we need to send an engineer out ,and now 10 days later still getting around 40mbs when it should be 1 gig 

  • Sounds promising… wouldn’t mind too much about speed but can’t even get a stable connection

    Welcome to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your connection at the moment. This isn't what we want to hear happening with our customers connections. I can see that you've been in touch with the team and have arranged engineer visit. I hope that they can get to the bottom of your issues and get them resolved on the visit. Please let us know how it goes, if you get the change that is.
