M350 package getting 180Mb

Called to see if I could get my router swapped as it's an old Hub 3.0 (2018 I think).
I was told by the person on the line that the 180 test is acceptable and the line showed no faults?

Surely this shouldn't be the case when we're barely getting over 50% of the line speed we're paying for.
They did try to sell me an upgrade to a 1Gb connection.

What's the lowest speed for this package before there's considered a problem?

  • Don't fall for any upgrade suggestion from offshore customer services. It won't help.

The only speed testing that counts is by ethernet cable connection as too many variables affect wifi. What do you get by ethernet connection?

That's the hardwired connection from my PC (Cat6 cable). 180Mb

I get a "RealSpeed is not available on this network," page.
Maybe because the router is in modem mode with an Asus router hooked up.

3 weeks after getting (Roughly 2019) the wifi was constantly dropping and the range was rubbish So I bought an asus router and dumped the Hub 3 in modem mode.

What do you get when you remove the Asus router from the equation?

  • Couldn't get logged into the modem, so factory reset everything and seems to be fine.
