Hub5x + Deco X55 + Volt M350 = 145mbps speed?

Hello,

I am using Hub 5x (put it into modem mode) + 3x Deco x55 (Ethernet cable, the first port). I am on Volt M350.
I've tested the speed (Macbook Air 2024, next to the router) and the speed is 145 Mbps (https://www.speedtest.net/result/17029769318).

Could you please advise how to get the speed I am paying for?

Thank you

Implying the VM service is sub par without presenting speed to the VM Hub figures is guesswork.

Start with resolving issues of speed loss on Wi-Fi between the Deco and Macbook,
try with a network cable, we have USB 3 to Gigabit network adaptors for the
slim laptops that lack network socket.

Is it really a Hub 5x with 10Gb/s metal network port ? Or is it a Hub 5 with a 2.5G/s network port,
assuming the latter try with the Deco connected to the Hub 5 via the 1Gb/s ports.

Seems to be a lot of latency when hitting speed under your upto

test with just a PC to the hub in modem mode

  • Out of interest, do you get better dl speed if you so a speed test from "Exa Networks Limited" in Bradford.

The reason I ask is I had Gig2 installed today and I'm also only getting ~145MB down (but 1.6gbps up). The exception is Exa Networks in Bradford where I'm getting 1gig down which is nearer what I'd expect for Gig2. I'm pretty sure my connection is being routed to somewhere on the Virgin network with no capacity
