Broadband speed

I'm having the same problem i signed up at beginning of Feb 25 for M350 i get around 300 my security cameras and ring doorbells were lagging so upgraded to M500 i'm still having trouble and when doing a speed test it is still 300 or less online advisor said the pods may help at an extra £8 a month but i can get Gig1 for extra £4 a month not sure what to go with as only moved to virgin as was a better deal than what sky was offering but now i am regretting changing

    If your wifi connections were poor there was no point in increasing your broadband speed, it was a waste of money. If VM suggested this they were mis - selling.

    You should instead be spending your money on better wifi equipment.

    Sorry to hear of the signal issues regarding your wireless connection and some devices, we appreciate you taking the time to raise this via the forums and welcome to the community.

    As jpeg1 has advised, if the issue relates to a signal issue increasing the broadband speed wouldn't resolve this. From checking the account, we can see there is currently a known area issue with SNR (Signal Noise Ratio) which is where there is some interreference on the network in your area which is causing issues with the stability.

    This may explain the issues you are having with the strength as it can cause intermittent dips or complete drops at random throughout the day. The fix time is currently estimated as 17th March at 9am with a fault reference of F011741016.
