bad speed on PS5

Good afternoon Virgin. I have a problem with your internet and I don't know how to solve it. I wonder if you could help me. My internet speed is as follows
download speed 1145Mbps
Upload speed 103Mbps
I am connecting my PS5 to the internet via a cable.
My speed on the PS5 is as follows
Download speed 800-900Mbps
Upload speed 9-11Mbps
I'm interested in the download speed, why is it so low? I really need the download speed to be at least 80mbps. I have connected your internet for this purpose. Could you please help me?

Thank you and have a nice day.

Are you using the PS built in app to test the speed? I get much the same result, think it's the PS network and not virgin

Run the FULL tests on this website and post the results.    www.samknows.com/realspeed

Note if the PS5 has a 1Gb NIC, you will only ever see approx 940Mb as this is the limit for 1Gb ethernet.

Adduxi, thank you very much for responding to my message.
      The speed is good.
      I don't understand why PS5 shows Upload speed 9-11Mbps.

Yes full DL speed to Hub.  However if you run the FULL test it should show the jitter, latency and upload speeds.

  • Hi -alex-1 ๐Ÿ‘‹

A warm welcome to our Community Forums and thanks for your post.

Sorry you're experiencing some issues with the service.

I've done some tests on my system and we have identified a short-term connectivity issue which may cause intermittent or performance related issues with your connection.

These types of issues donโ€™t last long, and your connection should be back to normal within 24 hours.
In the meanwhile, check all the white cables are connected securely to the Hub, any TV boxes, splitters and the wall socket.
