250 should be 350 help

Hi all, so I recently signed up to virgin via local rep as its new to the area , he said having an 02(the company)number  upgrades the Internet from m250 to m350 but my package is 250 and I've not seen anything higher than that current moment running at 29mbs. Aside the point have I been mis-sold? Thanks 🙂

Log into the Hub settings and navigate to the Configuration page - what numbers are in the downstream and upstream "Maximum data transfer rate" boxes?  These are in bps not Mbps

If that speed you measured is over WiFi, changing your package to 350 or even 500 will be unlikely to make any difference. You'd need to measure the speed over an ethernet connection to see the full speed.

        Hi there TheFortis

I am so sorry that you have faced these issues setting up your Volt benefits and a big thank you to our community members for their help so far.

Can I just check, are both the Virgin account and the O2 SIM registered at the same address?

  • Log onto the router and check the configuartion setting as below.

When my son got a O2 SIM, I just called up Virgin and they took the O2 and Virgin account details to verify. Couple days later the internet speed was bumped up and data on O2 was doubled. I have since downgraded with money off the bill 😁
