Wall socket missing

My virgin media box arrived last week but it doesn't look like we have the correct wall socket. I just bought the house and there are SO many wires coming into the front room but they all seem to be cut or disconnected. There looks to be an old VM box outside but it's damaged and has several loose wires. I think I need someone to come to repair the box but can't workout how to arrange it?
