Wall socket issue

Hi, I have ordered a new quick start pack which is due tomorrow and have been a virgin media customer before. Recently I was with another provider and the previous connect con 4.9 cables were disconnected. Now I have reconnected the cables together via a coupler. All I want to know is how I will know if the virgin media wall socket will function still and if both connect con 4.9 cables are connected and the splitter will allow me to receive the broadband I am paying for one I connect the kit tomorrow.

    If you connect the hub and the activation process completes and you can get online and access the internet then it will have worked. If you can't, it hasn't. 

    The more recently the VM connection was last used, then probably better the chance of the connection still being in place all the way through to the street cabinet.

    Worst case, if you cannot connect/activate, you will have to book a VM tech to find out why it is not working.

    You can post back on here if you have a problem connecting and someone will usually try to help.

  • Ok thanks tomorrow it will arrive and the engineer is also due on Saturday, I will see what happens tomorrow when I connect the kit myself and if it works I will post an update.
