VM + Yodel = Amature Hour

WoW .... just when you thought VM couldn't get any worse...

Add them to "Yodel" - and YES... they can !

Ordered a replacement HUB - my old one is out of date (they tell me).

Nice lady on support line gave me a delivery date : 21-12-24

Unable to say AM or PM - which is annoying but what can you do.

Wonderful (I thought)  - got an SMS message yesterday saying equipment will arrive today   ðŸ™‚

Brilliant (I also thought) - got a confirmation SMS message today - saying equipment will arrive later today  ... woo hooo  🙂 🙂

Yes you are guessing correctly - you know where I'm going with this for sure ...

... I waiited at home for 13 hours - NO PACKAGE - NO EQUIPMENT.

"Idiot" me - took an unauthorised day off work too !

Why did I take a day off work ?   - Answer : For Absolutley Nothing (apparently) !

Phoned support - they fobbed me off with a lame excuse about delays !

No idea now, as to "when" my hub will get sent !

AND more importantly "IF" I can take another day off work... to "wait"  !

That's my epic RANT (nearly over).

Seems like I'm doing more and more rants about VM these days.

25+ years with VM in their different incarnations.... it's more and more like AMATURE HOUR as the years go on.

I would really like to say "Thank You" to VM - but NO, I won't ... I can not, after today.

VM will only blame yodel anyhow.

What a day, indeed - to say I'm annoyed is an understatement.

Can you imagine - my boss when I tell him I need another day off .... ha ha ha ha

VM are getting worse as time goes on. That, is proven witout a doubt. 

Yodel - I just have to hear that name and I know I'm in for trouble.

VM + Yodel = Amature Hour

I should know by now to trust my instincts !

VM .... get your act together.... come on, you used to be good.

And use a different delivery partner. No good can come when yodel are around.

Rant - Officailly ... OVER !

    In some ways it's probably neither the fault of VM or Yodel but rather a third party warehouse (have a look through the forum on this). Comms have indeed been dreadful. I would expect delivery in January.

      I dont belive anyone would you take a whole day off work sitting in your house waiting for a box you don't need urgently?

      A parcel can be left in a safe place, neighbour, local yodel collection shop, picked up from depot or you can rearrange for a day your in the house.

        Well, "JB66" (the unbeliever) - the method in my madness... about staying home waiting.... ...

        When originally getting text messages about the equipment, it continuted to inform me that my exitsting equipment would de deactivated and switched off in 5 days (if I didin't connect the new stuff).

        As we were experiencing the holiday period at the time - it seemed logical to me, to wait home (at the time).

        You have to remember (at the time), I kind of had to trust all of what they were telling be to be true and reliable.

        Between the equipment not arriving and a few days later - I contacted telephone support to make sure no disconnection would happen.

        It's anyones guess as to which one made a note on my account - or in fact if anything happened at all !

        As my "trust" in VM is now at an extrele low - if I was faced with a choice of waiting (or not).. a thought of waiting in would not really enter my mind for too long.

        With trust and logic now thrown out of the window - I can see where you think I made a mistake.

        With me - If I agree with someone to do something for them. it has to be an epic reason "why" I can't ... for me to NOT do it.

        Crazy me - applying my own rules, imagining that VM's promises are true...  like mine are !

        Their "word" - it means nothing to me now.

        Also about yodel deliveries : "safe places" - yodels idea of safe places defy the definition !

        Yodals word hasn't meant much to me... for years.

        Describing my adventure into the realms of my day into the twilight zone ... ... I stand by my statement - - - "Amature Hour"
