Virgin not working on my PS5

We got virgin fibre broadband installed this morning and after doing a speed test on my phone I was getting a consistent 270-280+ mbps. I connected my ps5 to the internet using a lan cable and I’m having nothing but problems. Everytime I do a speed test on the PlayStation I’m only getting like 60-100mbps for download and the upload is failing every time. I restarted the PlayStation and got 260mpbs download and 25mbps upload so I thought it was sorted but after testing it again it’s going back to failing. It keeps telling me in connected to the internet and then after a test it just says failed, I’ve tried everything I can and nothing is working. I’m praying someone has had the same issue and can provide a fix. Thanks

    What do you get on another device connected on the LAN cable - laptop/computer?

    In the VM Hub menu at http://192.168.0.1/   ( use the Hub password i.e. NOT the Wi-Fi password ) check the "Connected devices" screen to see the network link speed to the PS5, we are looking for 1000Mb/s or 1Gb/s

    Seeing download speeds of < 100Mb/s is often a defective network cable that is de-rating the connection from 1000Mb/s to 100Mb/s.
