V6 Internet Connection

I am aware that the V6 box requires an internet connection.  I am having fibre broadband installed and will be running this in parallel with the VM service, at least for a while.  To avoid any interference problems I would prefer to switch off the VM hub and connect the V6 ethernet cable to the new fibre broadband router, so it will be accessing the internet through a different ISP.  Will this work?  If it is relevant the fibre broadband ISP does not use static IP's.

No, it will not work as the V6 has to use VM's broadband. You can put the VM hub into modem mode and use your router.

Both V6 & V360 boxes connect to headend servers that are not accessible from outside VMs network, so they will still need to connect to the VM hub to operate.
