Unauthorised installation of brown box

A brown box has been installed directly onto the front of my property today without my permission. I am not a Virgin customer, and I was not contacted about this.

This installation is unauthorised and must be removed immediately, with any resulting damage repaired as soon as possible

should be easy but never is - post some photos - they will run you round in circles asking pointless questions in the hope you go away

easy quick fix is remove it and bin it

did they run a cable to it from the street - again if they did remove it

Or... now that you are semi-installed conscription-style you could sign up and enjoy the famous VM customer service experience whilst helping to mitigate VM's declining broadband customer base.

Another one? Virginmedia is desperate to get new customers, but this is really going too far.

  • Here is the box in question, a wire has also just been left loose across my front garden.

      Hi Lauren9 👋.

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community Forums, sorry to hear that you are not happy with a Omnibox installed recently. So that we can look further into this, we would need to bring you in for a private message. Please look out for the envelope on the top right of your web browser or if you are using a mobile device, it will be located under your profile icon.

      Thanks.

which is your box thats 2 different installations - from your description of a wire across your front guearden i am guessing its the 2nd photo - their usual crap job not burying the wore but in this case ok

you have choices - wait here for VM to comment but expect little other than apologies and time wasting hoping to spin it for as long as possible and you get fed up and go away

you need to be proactive - sgive them a time frame to sort it or get the wireclippers out and remove the wire and a screwdriver to remove the box - hopefully there are just a couple od screws so little damage

or leave it and you are connected if you ever want their service
