The box outside my house has fallen apart and there is now cable all over the place

Hi Beth,

I am dealing with a similar issue. The people that lived at my property previously had Virgin but I am with BT. The box outside my house has fallen apart and there is now cable all over the place. 

It's not a risk to humans but the reason I am trying to get it removed/fixed is because my neighbors dog was playing out there and got tangled up in it which could have ended really badly.

I don't mind cutting it but I was hoping to move to Virgin myself when my BT contract runs out and have read that if I cut it, engineers won't fix it when I sign up. Is there any way you can offer support?

Also, it looks like a fibre cable and a black TV style cable, are these electrified in case I have to cut them?

    None of the VM cables leading to your house, of any variety, carry live voltages.
