Just got a new super hub 4, but it has turned up a day early, I got it all connected but it has been doing the white breathing led for well over an hour, is this normal, or is it because its not being recognized due to it being earlier than the agreed install date?

it will likely need activating - theres a number that should have come with it - if not search on here
I realize I haven't been as clear as I should, I'm and existing customer and this is an upgrade from the original super hub to the super hub 4, the only thing that has numbers is the wifi connection, and the instructions in the box and the ones from the qr code don't mention any activation, just plug power, coax, and Ethernet for devices, switch on and wait, but with no expected time for it to take.
it will still likely need activating - the instructions are poor [at best] - some come self activating others not - why is anybodies guess - so plug it in and ring the activation line - try this number 0800 953 9500
