storm darragh - cable holdings snapped

hi, sorry but several questions after the current strong winds the outside virgin media cable has snapped a few holding brackets and is now moving around on my window ledge, its not hanging down just loose,i live on the 2nd floor so is it right that virgin engineers only go as far as the 1st floor to secure cables ?

if it did break for whatever reason would they be able to do a reverse feed with the cable from my flat downwards towards the junction box.

i will probably need a window cleaner with a longer ladder who is a DIY handyman too !!

The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post. This board is not a fault reporting system.

Phone again and don't mention the second floor

If the technician is friendly he might allow you to drop a cable from your flat. It won't be attached about the first floor though.
