Shortening a fibre cable.
Hi,
I've moved into a new house, where there was already a fiber cable installed.
This fiber cable has been glued in several spots, and seems to be impossible to pry off.
However, on the spot where I want to put my router, this cable has actually a few loose spots: So I should be able to actually cut that fiber cable right there.
Does anyone know if this is possible? What particular tools would I need for this? What dangers/risks are there?
I'm very reliant on my internet (me and my wife work from home), so I can't have it happen that the internet would break down.
If shortening this cable is not possible to do by myself, is it possible to get Virgin to create a new cable/connection on the premises?
Any advice is appreciated.
