Remove old Virgin Media cabling from house?

Hello! We moved in just over a year ago, and when we were looking at providers, we were told that Virgin Media was not available. When we were tidying up our front garden, we found a green tube with cables sticking out. Open Reach has confirmed it is old Virgin Media cabling. Can you arrange for someone to remove the cabling from the tube so it can be used for something else? The tube is buried, so that can stay. Thank you!

VM are unlikely to do this as it will cost them money, and they will hope that it might be needed by a future resident. You may have to remove it yourself.

Sorry to hear of the cabling that has been left behind from a previous installation.

I would endorse the post from jpeg1, and confirm that if were to remove the cabling from the property, this would deem it a non-serviceable property for any potential future users.

Removing the cabling would be safe to do as there would be electrical current running through the wires, but seeking assistance from an electrician may be worth while

    Thanks
