Removal of second tv box cable

Hi. I am a VM customer and have TV and broadband. I have cable that runs to a socket in another room where a second TV box was once installed, (there is no box there just a wall box with a terminator).
My question is, can I remove this unused cable, and if so can i just cut through the cable without it affecting the main TV box. Thanks in advance.

Somewhere along the line there will be a splitter to feed two cables out from one cable in. Maybe inside somewhere or could be in the omnibox outside, if you have one. Find the splitter and unscrew the cable you want rid of and replace it with the terminator cap.

If you want a VM tech to do the work it is £25 for a non-fault call out.

Please let us know if you would like an engineer appointment regarding this, and we will be happy to help 😊

  • Hey adriamVMforum, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community, we would advise against doing this your self as it could cause some damage to the house.

You can however put a terminator cap on as mentioned.

We can also get an engineer out if you wanted this?
