Recently started getting "16 consecutive T3 timeouts"

Hello all,

My setup: Hub5 in modem mode connected to UXG-Max (Ubiquiti)

Hub5 details:

Standard specification compliant    :    DOCSIS 3.1

Hardware version    :    1.2

Software version    :    LG-RDK_7.6.20-2306.5

Cable MAC address    :    ()

Cable modem serial number    :    ()

System up time    :    1day(s)3h:48m:4s

Network access    :    Allowed

All worked fine for almost 1.5 years, but recently, something must have changed.

On UXG, I get the following Internet disconnect errors:

Your primary internet Virgin Media was disconnected and has been restored.Today at 12:47

Your primary internet Virgin Media was disconnected and has been restored. Feb 20, 2025, 20:36

Hub5 logs:

23-02-2025 12:47:56    critical    16 consecutive T3 timeouts while trying to range on upstream channel 8;CM- "----"

20-02-2025 20:36:59    critical    16 consecutive T3 timeouts while trying to range on upstream channel 8;CM- "----

Any ideas guys?

Thanks,

myky

It’s interesting that the T3s message identifies channel 8 and the stats only show 1 error on channel 8. Have you reset the hub before taking the stats? Could we please have a copy of the full log messages, but use copy and paste. Photos will Not be accepted as they will contain MAC address, but the board software will replace them with ********s if you paste them into a message.
I often get "Your primary internet Virgin Media was disconnected and has been restored." from my UDM-Pro, but the system recovers with no problems.

That's a very good catch Tudor.

I have indeed rebooted it as it was not able to recover. Most of the time,e it's just a blip, as you said: it goes down and then comes back, but lately, it  started to happen more often, and last time, the internet via modem was not recovered at all until the reboot:

I was wondering if my upstream/downstream power levels is ok?

      Thanks,

Power levels are fine, don’t know why you cannot copy and paste, I do it all the time from my iPad Pro, doing it now with some instructions.
