Quick Set Up Order - No box

Just ordered Gig1 Broadband with quick set up as it said it was available in my area.  Nothing was mentioned about needing a virgin wall socket. I have just found a very old one at my property from a previous owner but I don’t think it’s connect to anything as I cannot set up the router.  Just keeps saying, router not found.

I’m also trying to contact virgin by phone but it’s asking for my memorable answer.  There was no option to set this up when I signed up.

Lastly, I have already cancelled my Sky so will have no broadband in 10 days.  Can’t get through to speak to anyone or find any help online.  Furious.

Any ideas/help appreciated.

    VM offers Quick Start packs to addresses where there are records of a previous VM connection. There are no guarantees whether that connection actually works, as previous occupants may have removed or otherwise interfered with VMs sockets & wiring.

    You say you have found a socket. What happens with the lights on the hub when you connect it & can you get any connection to the internet through it?

    If it does not work, ring the pre-install team on 0800 052 1734 & they will arrange an install technician visit to resolve any wiring & signal issues.
