Problems getting a power line adapter to work with my VM Hub 5

I have the same problem as someone on the forum. Since I got the new Hub5 which means you have upgraded to 1Gb speeds and causes an issue with legacy devices. I have tried two different brands of power line adapter (Dlink DHP 508SV and a Tenda AV1000 Gigabit power line adapter) and eight cables and they are paired ok beside each other, but when I connect it into my new VM Hub 5 the three lights are lit on the power line adapter but no connection to my cctv dvr box which connected fine connected to my Vodafone router. I believe you have pods which are compatible with the hub 5. Can you send them to me as I need my cctv working for obvious reasons. Please email me on [REMOVED]gmail.com thanks. šŸ‘

    Since connecting the CCTV DVR to the VM Hub, has the CCTV DVR been power cycled and checked to make sure it is on the VM Hub's 192.168.0.xxx IP range ?

        As you say that the three lights are lit on the PL adaptors, that indicates that they are working perfectly OK, these devices donā€™t care about IP addresses (technically, they are layer-2 devices) and are properly connecting.

        It is more likely, as Client62 suggests above, that the CCTV DVR is stuck on the wrong address (I believe that the Vodafone system uses 192.168.1.x addresses, whereas VM uses 192.168.0.x). If the DVR is configured to get its address automatically, then rebooting it should fix it. However if the box has been ā€˜hard codedā€™ with an address which is now in the wrong range, youā€™ll have to do a bit of work to manually change that.

        One last thing, and this may sound like an odd statement but bear with me; how do you know that the DVR isnā€™t connecting? Is it because it isnā€™t showing up in the list of connected devices on the hub, or are you trying to connect to it from an ā€˜appā€™ or similar? Is it possible that the DVR is actually connected properly, but you are trying to get to it with (now) wrong information?

    We have 4 PLAs working with our VM Hub.

    Provided there is not clash of IPs and provided the PLAs are not running a DHCP and creating a Double NAT situation, I would expect the PLAs to be operable with a VM Hub.  

    If the PLA or the CCTV are on Static IPs those will need to be revisited to work on the 192.168.0.xxx IP range of the VM Hub.

    Since changing ISP have you reset the Powerline adaptors and made sure that they are now operating on the 192.168.0.xxx range used by a VM Hub ? 

    For all the connected CCTV kit, has that all been power cycled to ensure that it too has taken a new DHCP IP from the VM Hub ?

      I am now tempted to take the cctv dvr box downstairs and plug directly into the new virgin hub 5, removing the PLA from the equation.

      The original PLA has been reset and plugged in beside the PLA plugged into the VM Hub 5, reset and paired then moved to where the cctv box is and the cctv dvr box rebooted several times. I changed cables several times and tried a different brand of PLA and paired that in the same room as the hub 5. I'm certain the PLA devices are too slow and it needs an upgraded PLA or a switch to enable a faster connection. I'm pulling my hair out. Both PLA's worked with the Vodafone router, one into my laptop upstairs and the cctv dvr box. Very frustrating. I saw on another post that virgin sent the guy Virgin pods free of charge.
