Pre install queries

Ordered VM TV  and broadband on Wednesday from a Virgin sales guy and was told that pre install will happen at any time and I dont need to be in for this as he told me where the cable would run from the path and through the garden to our property had a message whilst at work saying that this stage has been completed. But this isn't the case as my CCTV shows them turn up, knock on door, then lay some cable under manhole cover on path, take some pictures of my property and then disappear within 15mins.

Who do I speak to regarding the sub contractor preinstall issue.

    You can try calling the Installations number 0800 052 1734, but VM tend to lose contact with contractors doing the outside work.  Delays like this are very common.

    This makes a change, as normally the cable pull contractors will just put the cable across the garden & install a drop box where they feel like doing it if nobody is at home. All the internal install is done separately by VM technicians.

    We're sorry to hear the full pre works weren't completed. 

    This may need a further pre install visit. If that's the case, a new date will be scheduled to finish the required work.

  • Keep your old broadband running because it could be ages before these guys come round to install. And just hope they don't drill through your wall where there's a radiator or pipes.
