Planned outage - inconsistent communication

I got a text message about a planned outage tomorrow 9am-3pm. The outage reminder checker says planned fix 12am-1230am. My Virgin app says there is an issue and it will be fixed by 1200am.

So which is it?

‘planned outage’ and ‘planned fix’ could possibly be two different things. One a short term fix, the other to fix the underlying problem.

Never really thought about the wording - good point.

    More specifically then:

My Virgin app / account says there are broadband issues and they hope to have this fixed by 5 January 1200am. I have not experienced any issues so far so must be something in the infrastructure that needs dealing with.

The checker says 'planned work in your area'. That one is the 1200am to 1230am

The SMS text says 'essential work to improve our network in your area' 0900am to 3pm which could actually be completely unrelated. Capacity/ speed improvements maybe.
