outside main cable needs fixing to house properly

The main cable joining my house and neighbours is not connected properly, we recently had work done on extension and builders had to move it. it's dangling very loosely high up. I'm not a customer of Virgin but next door are are it needs to be attached correctly to avoid issues for them and potentially others connected along the row. Who maintains the cable infrastructure  on behalf of Virgin and how can I get them out to address?

Post up some pic's of what you want fixing for the VM forum team who will reply here eventually.

You may struggle to engage VM if you are not a customer.

Your neighbour(s) may have more luck if they are VM customers.

here are some pics, cable just losely hanging over extention pitch. This moves in the wind so safety issue if it  gets pushed out and comes away.  Expect VM to address this.

That's an unusual installation if it is VM's.

How did the cable come to be installed in this way linked between two separate buildings? Normally each building would have its own cable.

  • it's the way cable is connected from house to house in this estate and been like that  since the days of NTL I'd say. Normally cable is tight and taut when connected from one house to the next and cable us neatly hidden in trunking underneath soffits, it was like this until builder did work and left it loose like that as he said needs circet or whoever VM use to fix and maintain.  I believe cabling was upgraded years back by VM in the area.

      Hi keno2

      Welcome to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear of your concerns with the cabling across the building.

Have you spoken with the building manager for these flats to inform them of the cabling on the roof? This may be something they're able to assist with if it is not our cabling, and if it is, they can contact us should they need.
