Omnibox broken

Hi, I don't actually have an account with virgin media, but I have been having an issue contacting them about a broken omnibox on the front of the house. It's held together with tape. I'm actually due to move house on the 13th June 2025 and not sure what to do.

You are moving away from a house with a broken omnibox or you are moving into a house with a broken omnibox?

We are moving out , but noticed the box was damaged so have taped it up. We been trying to contact virgin , as don't know what to do.

Whilst it is considerate of you to make repairs before leaving, dealing with VM can be a slow and tedious process (and that is even if you are a customer).

VM generally does not fix inactive cables etc. unless they are a health and safety problem.

If you have taped up the box, I would suggest it will be up to the new occupiers to deal with the broken box if they wish to do so.

If you feel highly motivated to fix it, there are some types of VM wall box available on eBay (although the are rather expensive) and there are alternative replacements also available at a slightly lower cost.
