New XGS-PON 1gb full fibre and hub5x red light problems after 10hrs
1GB XGS-PON full fibre installed yesterday at lunchtime. Initial download experience was great until 10pm when the white LED on the hub5x went red and I lost internet. I logged into the hub and all was ok except the internet was done. No errors in the log at all. I power cycled the hub, factory reset it and yet still a flashing red LED. I left the router with the flashing red LED all night and it was still flashing red in the morning. Very strange and no idea as to whether this is a backed issue, a fibre cable issue outside or inside the house or a problem with the hub5x. Engineer booked for soonest slot which is tomorrow, but not a great experience so far and having to wait a day and a half without internet is miles away from the experience I received from my old ISP.
If anyone can suggest any ideas or has experienced a similar issue I’d welcome the feedback.
