New contract without knowledge on house move
Hi
I’m seeking clarification and assistance regarding my broadband contract.
- I initiated an 18-month contract with Virgin Media in November 2023, set to run until May 2025, at £30 per month.
- In September 2024, I moved to a new address and continued with Virgin Media, maintaining the same service package.
- Upon reviewing my account in May 2025, I noticed that my contract now reflects a new end date of March 2026, effectively restarting the 18-month term from the move-in date.
- Additionally, my bill is scheduled to increase to £55 starting this month, as per the original contract terms.
I did not consent to a new contract term upon moving, and no changes were made to my service package. From my understanding, when relocating without altering the service, the original contract terms, including the end date and pricing, should remain unchanged .
I would appreciate it if a member of the Virgin Media team could review my account details and assist in reverting my contract to its original terms, concluding in May 2025, with the agreed-upon pricing.
I've tried using the chat function on VM and they just ignore what I say and try to sell me a new contract for another 18 months.
