Need help with remote work over VPN

Hello.

My wife works remotely mostly with US and connect to via company VPN. Everything works fine with one exception. There's one customer that she can't connect over virgin, she works currently using Three 5G, but we'd like to stay with one provider. Other remote desktops work perfectly fine.

For 100% it's virgin blocking it as its nationwide issue (her colleagues can't connect to the same customer via virgin) and I was wandering if it can be solved somehow?

Thank you

VM do not support VPNs.  Any solutions are down to yourself unfortunately.  There a many threads here about non working VPNs.  Client62  has given good advice if this can be done on the laptop.  Other than this, get a 3rd party router and use modem mode.  As for the 3 5G, I would keep it if possible as a backup solution.  VM have no SLAs and it's best to have a backup if you work from home.

  • It worked in modem mode previously, the same issue.
It doesn't connect via VPN, but the company network does. She uses it to work and connect to the desired customer, which is maintained by the company's internal system. She can't access IP of the server where VM is located etc, but it is blocked by Virgin solely as it works with other providers (BT and three). And it is the same story for her colleagues that live in different parts of the UK. That's why I was looking for a way to find what could it be.

We have heard this so many times only to find the receiving end is not accepting the traffic.

What is the remote VPN IP ?
Can it be pinged from a VM connection ?
