im looking to see if it’s possible to have my router moved upstairs to my sons bedroom as he’s autistic and needs to router near his pc and console to get the benefit of the speed as he’s on it most of the time and we don’t really need the full speed downstairs.

Also I should point out the co-ax cable will need to be run to the bedroom as well, unless it’s done outside. If running outside, you might as well run an Ethernet cable and get the advantages it brings.
An alternative solution would be to run a Cat6a ethernet cable from the hub up to his room and then connect a Wireless Access Point (or router in Access point mode) on the end of it. This will provide extra ethernet ports as well as full speed wireless signal - is that possible for you.
See thr TP Link range £30-50 will get a good one.

Yes you can have the router moved of course, however there is a one off charge of £25 for this.
