Moving router and TV: house extension

Hi all,

We are currently getting a house extension where the old living room is going to be the kitchen and the TV box is now going to be around 15m from the current entry point of the cable.

Can I extend the cable under the floor myself or is this something VM will come out and sort for us whilst the building is nearly complete? Keen to not have surface mounted cables if possible?

Any advice appreciated from anyone who has had a similar situation.

    VM will change the location for you, it’s £25 as a non fault call-out. 

    The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post.
