Move router inside house

Hi 

I live in a house built in 2017 that has virgin cable running to both the lounge and main bedroom, when I joined VM a few years ago the engineer said the cable was damaged a metre inside the property and therefore could not use the lounge. They installed the router in the bedroom which has been fine, however we now need to move it as it will be on the floor and right in the way (tripping hazard!) 

Can an engineer come and locate the damaged cable and fix it so that I can place the router in the lounge?
