Move existing entry point/additional "hole"

Happy Sunday!

I have just joined VM and have an install date next weekend (so far).  I've checked outside and there is an entry point into our house on the ground floor (into the living room).  Currently, all our IT kit is in the spare/box room (also at the front of the house, but first floor) and I'd ideally like the router to be up there (we will be using our own wifi router).  Will the engineer just use the existing entry, or can they/will they drill another if requested?  Happy to pay extra if needed.

    So long as they assess it as safe to do there should be no problem or extra charge.

    Just to be clear, is this a completely new installation including a new cable from the road? If so it may not all be done on the same day.
