Move cable entry point

Very similar to many other requests on this forum: Our house is undergoing large renovations. I need a new white box (the builders have removed that by accident when removing a wall) and would need to get that installed in a different location. Also, the location of the router is now in the attic (as we've installed a server rack). Meaning that I'd require a new, long coax cable from the white box on the ground floor to the router location on the attic. There is a channel in the wall already to easily run the cable to the attic via the wall.

It sounds like the best way to get this appointment scheduled is to post here, and get a moderator to help out.

The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post.

  • I managed to get the white box moved a few weeks ago. The engineer didn't leave a 'white virgin coax cable' though to connect the Hub to the White Box. I've purchased a coax cable myself, but my speeds are terrible. I was wondering if you mail a Virgin Coax cable?

Hey Snowdog123 Thanks for reaching out to us on the Virgin Media forums. 👋🏼

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with the speeds you are having. 😢
Are you able to send an image of your home setup and the Virgin Media hub so we can analyse this from our end?

Let us know and we'll be able to assist further.

      Kind regards,
      Ilyas.
