Looking to renew Virgin Media Broadband only Student contract

I am a current 2nd year university student looking to extend/ renew my Virgin Media broadband contract to my 3rd year. My contract ends exactly on the 16th September 2025, so I am reaching out early as I will be abroad for the summer. I will be in the same property for another year so I want to renew the contract again.  

Are there any ways of renewing the contract or I would have to buy the same package all over again, since it is a student deal? Would I have to give a 30 day-cancellation notice before my contract ends or it is done automatically? How could I do it in a way where the transition is seamless? It is a 12-month contract on student deals for the 132Mbps hub, ideally I want the same package again for another year. The website is not very helpful on telling me how to get around this and so is online chat which is run by bots.

      Hi, 

      That’s great to know! My flatmates will be in the flat over the summer so they will need the broadband running even in my absence. I was thinking more about the process of renewing my student contract for the next academic year, or is this information that will be revealed to me at a later date? I hope that I am able to renew this in advance.
