Just need to rant… No show technician

I sat in all day yesterday waiting for the technician to come and install our broadband. I had booked an 8-1pm appointment but there was no show. No text messages, no telephone calls, no emails. Nothing. 
I tried to ‘talk’ to someone on the phone and live chat service and find out what had happened but just got nowhere. I was finally sent a link via text but this just drew blanks as well as it just confirmed that my broadband was not yet set up. Tell me something I don’t already know!
When I checked for updates on the app this morning, it is still saying that the technician was booked for 26th Aug at 8-1pm.

I really don’t have the time to be sitting in every day waiting for them to pay a call. I need to speak to a real human being who can sort this out for me. Pronto!

    As this is a Community Forum, and not a direct line to VM as such, it will take a day or two for a VM Mod to pick this up.  As your need is urgent, it would be best to phone Customer Services directly.  Don't forget to claim compensation for the missed appointment...

    You could try calling the pre-installs team on 0800 052 1734 and ask them what's happening.

    They are open  8:00am to 9:00pm  Monday to Friday, and 8:00am to 6:00pm Saturday and Sunday

    (It can take a couple of days for a member of the forum team to pick up your post)

      I've looked into this and can see that there haven't been any further updates. However, I can see that your issues have been passed to the correct team, who will look into the issues and get back to you directly to discuss this further.

  • I've got an installation booked for tomorrow, an engineer came last Saturday to look and said pre installation works needed to happen but nothing yet. Hope this isn't a common occuring thing... Did you have any pre installation? I've also had no correspondence about mine
