Intergas gateway not connected

Hi. My Intergas boiler gateway won't connect via ethernet. It was fine on my Sky router but had to move it when I had VM installed. I thought it was broken so bought a new one but this won't connect either. Spoken to Intergas & they stated that although they did have a bug in an update , this was fixed quite sometime ago. They are still looking into this but have suggested it could be my router blocking connection  ?? It works on my sky box & fire hd box without issue !!

Any ideas 🤔

Does the Intergas boiler gateway requires a 10 Mb/s Ethernet connection ?

Have you have been issued a Hub 5 or a Hub 5x ?
If YES : These Hubs do not support Ethernet at speeds lower that 100 Mb/s.

The solution is a low cost network switch that supports 10/100 or better 10/100/1000 this is connected between the gateway and the VM Hub to recreate the require 10Mb/s connection.

With different brands of central heating this has been a question seen a number of times before.

If 10Mb/s is not the issue, login to the VM Hub menu and in the Connected devices menu check the gateway is present and has been signed an IP address.

Another aspect to consider is new VM Connections have Parental Controls enabled by default on the VM Online Account.  Try with this disabled, Parental Controls have been found to break all sorts of services ( VPN / Video Call / WI-Fi Calling / TV Streaming / Social Media / Messengers etc ... etc ... ).
