Installation question

I'm thinking about joining virgin and had a question about the cabling set up to my house.

I'm presuming it's possible to get the router installed to a different location to the tv box using external cabling? 

I'd need the router to be by the front door so I can plug in my network cable leading to my garden office but would want the tv box in the living room and don't want internal cables ideally.

Thanks for any support, just wanted to check before I signed up.

    VM can run all cables externally. It’s up to you to tell the technician exactly what you want, not what they want because it’s easier for them.

    It would be really helpful if you can install an external Ethernet cable round to the living room prior to the VM tech's arrival.
