Help connecting the cable

The connector cable with this box...

 

Is it supposed to connect directly to the box coming into the house or at the end of that cable before my old splitter? Cause if it's the box where the cable comes in it's next to a wall and won't fit :/

    Just unscrew the single cable from the 3rd photo and connect the cable to your new splitter.  I'm assuming the other two cables run to the equipment the new splitter is supplying?  If so they can be removed.
