External cable chewed by dog

Hi all

One of our dogs has chewed the external cable and has gone right through the old phone cable and part chewed the broadband/tv cable. Can see outer screen of cable.

Internet and TV is still working but guess it will need replacing at some point. How can I get this fixed. As we are in an annex our cable is piggy backed onto the main house feed as fitted by VM.

Regards

Alan

Are you the VM broadband account holder?

If so, phone it in or wait here for a VM person to reply (usually within a few days).

If you are not the VM account holder, you will need to get them to request a tech visit to repair.

If your phone cable is not currently in use, it will not need repairing (as a VM landline now comes through the VM hub). If it is only the outer plastic of the broadband cable that is damaged, wrap some insulating tape around it to keep the water out while you wait to see if it can be repaired.

      Hi

Thanks for response. Yes I am the account holder.  I have already used insulating tape. I will see what will be involved as it is not a fault as such but more self inflicted by our dog. Meanwhile I have ordered 16 metres of plastic trunking to protect it in future either as it is now or if a replacement cable is fitted.

At least we can still watch the TV and get on line. And yes the phone now connects to the hub.

      Cheers

      Alan
