Usual procedure on here is to post up a pic illustrating the problem and a VM person should respond to it when they get here (which can take up to a few days).

Looks to me that that cable should have had catenary wire to support it. What was where the new ‘room’ is now located? Was there a building in the empty space on the right of the picture?

KN Cirnet have been out previously and confirmed the cable was Virgin, it was decided at the time (pre-construction start) they would action/fix at a later date when construction starts but I do not have any contact details to make arrangements.
There was a room up previously and the cable was hanging prior to knocking it down. The tie in on the gable end had came off prior to construction start. It was still tied in at fascia level but as the room was knocked down, the cable dropped further as it has nothing to support it.
On the right hand side the cable goes into a garden with massive overgrown. Unsure if its connected to the house as unable to see past the overgrowth (bushes & trees), the house is at a lower level.

Searches on KN Cirnet mentions both Ireland and UK. Are you in Ireland or UK?

Out of interest, how have you confirmed that this is a VM cable?
It looks like a very thick cable. We have seen past topics on here, in similar circumstances, where the cable turned out to be from an early TV relay distribution system.

Looks like that cable may have been secured to the now missing gable end fascia ?
