Does Virgin Media telesales team ask for bank number?

Hi All, I got call from who claim to be from virgin media O2 telesales team. They claim that they will change profile from normal to executive and asked for bank details. Suspicious of red flag, I disconnected the call. 

Does Virgin Media ever ask for customer bank account number ? 

They call from different numbers each time.

    Ask THEM for your account number with O2/VM.

    Ask THEM what your last bill came to.

    They'll soon put the phone down if not genuine.
