Considering 2GB FTTP with XPON, Hub 5x router

Recently VM has become available in my area, however I have my own mesh equipment WiFi 6E and 2.5G network, to connect various sections of the house, including the “office at the back” of the garden. It seems the the Hub 5x router does not support modem mode and if so it limits you to only realising 1GB connection. Can the full potential be realised of the 2GB connection? Or does the hub 5x limit you down to 1gb, is sharing a 2GB connection at all possible via a unmanaged switch connected into the hub?

With Hub 5x operated in Router mode, the speed on its 10Gb/s port is not limited + it has 3x 100/1000 ports.
Note 10  Mb/s is no longer supported.

Hub 5 x operates in Router mode, so for the moment you could attach your mesh to in AP mode to avoid double NAT.

No time line for Modem mode has been published, so make no assumptions
that Modem mode will be offered soon because there is a risk it turns out to be never.
